Dr. Lynette Cumings, Au.D., CCC-A
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Lynette Cumings specializes in hearing aids and balance. She earned her Doctor of Audiology from AT Still University (School of Health Sciences) and her Master of Science in Audiology/Speech-Language Pathology and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Lamar University. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a lifetime member of the Texas Academy of Audiology and a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology.
While completing her undergraduate studies in Deaf education, Dr. Cumings realized she would still be helping people as an audiologist and became interested in the science and hands-on aspect of it. She feels fortunate to have been exposed to Deaf education, speech-language pathology and audiology in her undergraduate studies. When graduating, she felt like audiology was a better fit for and decided to follow that path in her graduate studies.
Though Dr. Cumings strives to provide patients a wealth of audiology related knowledge, she considers it more important to offer a kind, genuine and down to earth nature that makes them feel comfortable. Outside of work, she enjoys interior design, birding, cattle ranching and photography.
